Richard has practiced law and been a member of the North Carolina State Bar since 1982 He has also been recognized by the North Carolina Legal Elite and is ranked as a preeminent foreclosure and loss mitigation attorney in North Carolina.

Richard’s areas of practice include representing county and municipal governments in tax collection and foreclosure actions; default services with several of the ‘Big Five” national lenders as well as state and local lending institutions, quiet title litigation and estate planning.

Richard graduated with his Juris Doctorate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1982 While at Chapel Hill, Richard was Associate Editor of the Carolina Free Press.

Richard’s favorite pastimes include bike riding and astrophysics.
